Shopping at Macy’s

Shopping at Macy’s is a paradise for some and hell for others. Macy’s is so big that it might be difficult to find what you’re looking for. If only for the experience, it is nice to check it out at least once. You can also find wooden escalators at Macy’s. They are over 100 years old and still working! Around the holiday season you should definitely take a look inside, but avoid going on a Saturday afternoon as it will be very busy.

Did you know that Macy’s is actually two buildings? You might have to walk through one building in order to get to the other. Don’t hesitate to ask the staff for directions if you’re lost! Most collections are separated according to Gender. For women, there is so much to choose from, it’s a good idea to think ahead and decide which designers you’re interested in. If you are travelling with kids, you can visit Toys”R”Us. The toy store is located on the 7th floor of Macy’s department store.

Tired of walking after your visit to Macy’s? Hop on the Hop on Hop off the bus Downtown loop and enjoy a couple of hours of sightseeing. If you’re up for some more shopping I recommend you to visit one of the outlets in New York.
