New York Midtown nightlife offers a nice selection of bars. Whether you like a rooftop bar or a sports bar, you surely find something suitable. Don’t forget to bring your passport!

230 Fifth

A great club, especially in the summer. Here, you can sit on the rooftop with spectacular views of the Empire State Building. Doors open at 16:00, which also makes this a fun spot for an afternoon drink. Fridays and Saturdays it can be trickier to get in so do dress up well and absolutely no sneakers. Also at the weekends, it’s mostly bottle service but on a weeknight, you might be able to sit down too.

Cantina Rooftop

Cantina Rooftop not only offer delicious Mexican foods and drinks but also has a nice rooftop terrace where you can dine outside or have drinks. The place is open all year thanks to a retractable roof and heating. The atmosphere is festive, with a lively crowd and a live DJ spinning upbeat tunes every night. Reservations are recommended.

Royalton Hotel on Park Avenue

A nice club (lounge) with two floors on the rooftop of the Royalton Hotel (formerly known as the Gansevoort Park Avenue) where you can also dance. The pool is located on the top floor. Depending on the night and the number of people there, both floors are not always open.

Karaoke in Koreatown

“K-Town”, as most locals call it, is a lively neighbourhood consisting of just a few streets between Fifth and Sixth Avenues in Midtown Manhattan. Despite its small size, you can find numerous restaurants and bars here. Korean barbecue is always delicious, so start your evening with a dinner out before heading to sing some karaoke. After all, you are in Koreatown! Most karaoke bars are located on the upper floors of buildings, and some are quite hidden. You can get a private karaoke room for just you and your friend, or for a larger group. A good time is guaranteed!

Mercury Bar

In this sports bar, you will not find any tourists. On Sundays, you can see the New Yorkers watching their football or baseball. This is a small bar but with a lot of TV screens. Sit in one of the booths and order a beer with some finger food. There is no dress code.
