This allowed him to take rare photographs and obtain special objects that visitors could see and hold in the 9/11 Workshop. The museum is inspired by the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam; a small museum that gives insight into an event. In this case, an insight into the lives of the people of the FDNY and the recovery teams.

In this museum, located in the Meatpacking District, you can see pictures of firefighters and the dogs searching for victims, the PATH tunnels under Ground Zero and the “Honor Guard”, the ceremony when a colleague was found. During this search, they found many objects from the Twin Towers, which can now be seen in the Ground Zero museum. These items include the “Frozen Clock”, which shows the exact time that the first tower collapsed and a calendar found in the PATH station, which has “Today is September 11” on display.
