Manhattan to Newark Airport transfer
A Manhattan to Newark Airport transfer by taxi can cost up to US$100. Therefore, I advise you not to take a taxi to Newark Airport (EWR) and instead, go by shuttle bus or private car. Booking your airport transfer beforehand allows you to enjoy your last day in New York stress-free.
Do you want to travel from your hotel to the airport in a private, chauffeur-driven car? And would you prefer to arrange your transport before you depart? Then book a private transfer in advance. There are various options for private transport available.

Choose the value private transfer and have everything organized before your departure to New York. After booking the transfer you will receive a voucher with a link to notify them of your flight details and preferred pick-up time. This transfer does not include tolls and tips.
All-inclusive private transfer
If you prefer to pay the total amount of your transportation upfront, then this all-inclusive transfer is the best option. All taxes, tolls and gratuity are included.

The shared small shuttle buses will pick you up from your hotel or apartment and bring you to Newark Airport. Please note that most buses only pick up customers from up to 125th Street. It will only cost US$20 per person. It’ll take you at least 1.5 hours to travel to Newark Airport. The shuttle buses take longer than a taxi as they need to pick up more people. After booking, read your voucher carefully for instructions on how to be picked up at the location and time of your choice.

NJ Transit Train
The New Jersey Transit trains connect Penn Station in Manhattan to Newark Airport. To get to your terminal you will need to transfer on to the AirTrain. Together the train journey to Newark and the AirTrain cost US$15.25. Tickets just for the AirTrain cost $7.75. This is my least favourite way of travelling from Manhattan to Newark Airport because you have to transfer from one train to another, which is not great if you have a lot of baggage with you.
