Hop-On Hop-Off Tour Included
Hop-On Hop-Off buses are ideal for those who want to relax while seeing a lot of the city. I advise people to take a full tour of the city before they start visiting attractions. It’s the perfect way to get to know the city. When you buy a New York Pass, it also includes a 2-day Hop on Hop off ticket for Big Bus. With this ticket, you can tour the Uptown and Downtown loops.
How do I get a New York Pass?
After purchase, you can choose for a digital pass or you can download your pass as a PDF, which you can print. I always recommend printing your pass, just in case your phone is not working. All the information you need about the tours and attractions included with the pass can be found here.
How does the New York Pass work?
After you’ve downloaded your pass, you can start using it right away. To activate your pass, you just show it on your phone or a printed copy at the attraction entrance. The first time you use it, the pass will be activated and will then be valid for consecutive days based on the duration you purchased.
I recommend activating the New York Pass by visiting your first attraction early in the morning. This is because the pass is valid for a number of consecutive calendar days. Most attractions open early, and it’ll be less crowded, so you can avoid long queues.
For tours and some attractions, you need to have a time slot or a reservation. When you make a reservation, you don’t activate your New York Pass, so you can make reservations prior to arriving in New York. To make reservations for the New York Pass and to see a complete overview click here.
With the discount pass, you can visit each attraction once. In addition, you don’t pay anything extra at the attractions, just the pass is enough! In the end, the pass is easy to use and saves you a lot of money.

What attractions and activities should I choose?
You probably won’t have time to visit all of the attractions. But there’s no need to worry about that. Even when you buy a 1-day New York Pass and visit 3 top attractions, you will still save at least 40%. The pass gives you a wide variety of options.
