Transportation from the airports to New Jersey, Queens, Brooklyn and The Bronx
Are you travelling from JFK Airport or Newark Airport and staying in Queens or Brooklyn – or in a different state such as New Jersey? Then it’s best to plan ahead by reading the transfer information and tips I’ve outlined per airport and destination. Avoid unexpected surprises when you arrive in New York!
JFK Airport Transfer
If you are travelling from JFK to Queens or Brooklyn then you have the option to take the subway or one of the famous yellow cabs. However, if you are travelling to The Bronx or New Jersey then I highly recommend arranging a car service beforehand. In most cases, it’s a lot faster and more practical than taking public transportation and it’s cheaper than a taxi. Please read more specific information for your airport transfer below:

Newark Airport Transfer
If you are travelling from Newark airport to New Jersey then you could take a taxi. If you are travelling to Queens, Brooklyn or The Bronx then I highly recommend arranging a car service beforehand. Because Newark Airport is located in New Jersey, and the other locations in New York not only will public transportation be extremely difficult but taxis can charge extra as they are going from one state to another.
