Difference between New York Sightseeing Day Pass and New York Pass

What is the difference between the New York Sightseeing Day Pass and the New York Pass? The New York Sightseeing Day Pass and the New York Pass are discount passes for New York with which you can get the most out of your stay. You can visit unlimited attractions with both passes. There are differences between the passes with regards to the attractions and tours that are included.

Please note: The Sightseeing Pass has unfortunately been discontinued due to financial difficulties. If you have recently purchased a Sightseeing Pass, please contact me at eric@newyorkcity.ca.

A good alternative for the Day Pass is the New York Pass.

Tours and attractions

Both the New York Sightseeing Day Pass and the New York Pass are valid for 105+ tours and attractions. With both you can visit, along with many more, the Empire State Building, Edge, and MoMa. With both passes, you can take a sightseeing cruise, but the options vary.

The main difference is that with the Day Pass you can visit Central Park Zoo, Bronx Zoo, Woodbury Common Premium Outlets, and it offers a transfer from one of the airports to Manhattan. These are not included with the New York Pass. In addition, you can have a free or heavily discounted lunch.

With the New York Pass, you can visit the 9/11 Museum, Top of the Rock, One World Observatory, the Statue of Liberty, and it includes all Circle Line Cruises.

Hop-on Hop-off bus

A ticket for a Hop-on Hop-off bus tour is included with both passes. With both, you get a Big Bus ticket for 48 hours so 2 days, which allows you to take the Uptown and Downtown route. This is the perfect way to get to know the city in the first days of your trip.
