The comfortable seating allows you to sit safely and without restrictions. At high speed, the boat heads towards the Statue of Liberty, where it slows down so you can take photos. The boat continues past Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn, towards the Brooklyn Bridge, which you can see up close and personal. After this, the boat turns around to head back. Eric’s Tip: I have taken many boat tours in New York, and was pleasantly surprised by this one. Firstly, for those who still have their doubts, it is not scary. And, because the boat is relatively small, this tour doesn’t feel like a tourist attraction; more like a local activity. Secondly, this boat has access to sail around different locations in comparison to the large tour boats, which means getting closer to the skyline and to the water. I thought this was a great boat tour and very suitable for those seeking something slightly different from the usual sightseeing cruises.
