You can enjoy swimming in New York at a number of hotels as their guest. Many of the pools are heated, so you can even use them in the winter. However, because the pools are small, you may not always be able to swim in them.
Equinox Hotel New York
You will be surrounded by luxury at the Equinox Hotel, which is owned by the gym chain, Equinox. Located in Hudson Yards, this 5-star hotel has two swimming pools; one indoor saltwater pool and one outdoor pool with views of the Vessel. The Equinox Hotel also has a full-service spa that includes ice baths, a sauna and massage services.

Sonder Apartments at Battery Park
Sonder Apartments offers accommodation in several locations in New York, but the Sonder at Battery Park is my personal favourite. Their luxury flats are very spacious, and an especially good option if you are travelling to New York with children, thanks in part to the rooftop pool. The swimming pool is the biggest I’ve seen in a New York hotel and gives you a great view of the city. In addition, the pool is solely open to residents and guests of the building so it doesn’t get overcrowded.

Margaritaville Resort Times Square
The Margaritaville Resort can be found just a few minutes walk from Times Square. This hotel has several bars and restaurants, including the Landshark Bar & Grill, which features a small swimming pool! Grab some refreshments and soak up the sun in one of the loungers.

Gansevoort Meatpacking
Gansevoort Meatpacking Hotel has a rooftop pool which is open all year round. The pool provides panoramic views of the city and is connected to a lively rooftop bar.

Royalton Park Avenue
Royalton Park Avenue Hotel’s swimming pool is located right underneath the Empire State Building! The pool is partly outdoor and partly indoor, making it a nice place all year round. There’s also a rooftop bar where you can enjoy a drink right next to the pool.

ModernHaus SoHo
Dip in the rooftop pool at ModernHaus SoHo. At their rooftop lounge, called, JIMMY, you can find a small pool that is ideal to cool down on a warm Summer day. From here you have views over Lower Manhattan and can have a drink at the bar. During the week you can use the pool until 16:00, in the weekend it closes earlier after it is used for pool parties.
Virgin Hotel
You can take in a spectacular view of the Empire State Building from the Virgin Hotel pool in New York. The Pool Club, located beside the pool, is a great place to unwind with a drink. During the weekend the hotel organises pool parties, that can be attended by everyone. They may ask for an entrance fee. If you want more privacy you can rent a cabana. Furthermore, the hotel features a gym, a restaurant and is pet-friendly, among other things!
