The Performing Arts Center has a unique architecture and can not be missed. The cube-shaped building is located next to One World Trade Center and faces the 9/11 Memorial. The exterior of the building consists of thin plates of veined marble. These plates are clamped by two glass plates, allowing light to enter during the day. At night, the area can be illuminated by light from inside the building. Also, there is a large outside staircase where people can sit and view the 9/11 Memorial. The staircase, which leads to the entrance of the building, is located under a cantilevered corner.

Performing Arts Center of the Future

PAC NYC is focused on the future, through the latest technical developments, and this is reflected in the building. For example, the restrooms are contactless and performances can be seen live, on screens or on stage, by means of virtual and augmented reality. With these elements, the Performing Arts Center hopes to exceed the expectations of the audience. The centre also has flexible spaces. There are three standard auditoria, however, the walls of these can be moved so eleven different spaces can be formed. An intimate space can be formed for 99 guests or a large hall, suitable for 1200 people.

Clear layout of PAC NYC

The building is divided into three floors. The first floor is a public place where people can enjoy a drink or snack. Public performances are also staged here, which everyone can come to and watch. The second floor is dedicated to rehearsal rooms and changing rooms. You will find the stages on the top floor.
