Wondering what is open on U.S. Thanksgiving in New York? Opening hours may in fact be different from other days. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November every year. This means that in 2025 the U.S. holiday falls on Thursday November 27. This is different from Canadian Thanksgiving, which is celebrated on Monday October 13th. There are many things to do during the U.S. Thanksgiving in New York, such as watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, where you will see large balloons of famous figures float by. You can also take a Thanksgiving cruise, where you will enjoy views of the Manhattan skyline and some classic Thanksgiving food.
