Day 1 – Arrival in New York
Day 2 – Downtown & Midtown Manhattan
Day 3 – Fifth Avenue & Central Park
Day 4 – High Line & Departure
Day 1: Arrival in New York
Your first day of four days in New York City is all about settling in and getting your first taste of the city. After arriving at the airport and checking into your hotel, spend the evening exploring the bright lights and atmosphere of Times Square.
Arrival: Landing in New York
After landing in New York, make your way from the airport to Manhattan. Depending on where you are staying, you can take a taxi, private transfer, shuttle bus or public transportation from JFK Airport, Newark Airport or LaGuardia Airport. If it’s your first time in New York, booking an airport transfer in advance can make your arrival much easier and stress-free.
Afternoon: Hotel Check-in
Once you arrive at your hotel, take some time to check in and freshen up after your flight. Staying in Midtown Manhattan is ideal for a first trip to New York, as many of the city’s main attractions are within walking distance or easy to reach by subway.
Evening 19:00 – 20:00: Times Square
In the evening, head to Times Square to experience one of the most iconic locations in New York City. The enormous digital billboards, street performers and constant energy make it a must-see, especially for first-time visitors. It’s the perfect place to start your New York adventure and soak up the atmosphere of the city that never sleeps.
Evening 20:00 – 21:30: John’s Pizza
After exploring Times Square, enjoy dinner at John’s Pizza, a popular New York pizzeria known for its classic thin-crust pizzas and historic atmosphere. Located close to Times Square, it’s a great spot to end your first evening in the city.

Day 2: Downtown & Midtown Manhattan
Day two is dedicated to discovering some of Manhattan’s most famous landmarks. From the 9/11 Memorial in Lower Manhattan to the bright lights of Broadway, this day combines history, sightseeing and classic New York experiences.
Morning 08:00 – 09:00: Ellen’s Stardust Diner
Start the morning with breakfast at Ellen’s Stardust Diner, one of the most famous diners in New York. The restaurant is known for its singing waitstaff, many of whom are aspiring Broadway performers, making breakfast here an experience in itself.
Morning 9:00 – 10:00: Downtown Manhattan Tour part 1
After breakfast, I recommend taking the Hop-on Hop-off bus downtown to explore Lower Manhattan and get a good first impression of the city. This is a convenient way to see several neighbourhoods and landmarks while learning more about the city through the onboard commentary. Get off at the stop near the 9/11 Museum.
Morning 10:00 – 12:00: 9/11 Memorial & Museum
Visit the 9/11 Memorial and Museum, located at the site of the former Twin Towers. The memorial pools and museum offer a moving tribute to the victims of September 11 and provide insight into one of the most significant moments in New York’s history.
Afternoon 12:00 – 13:00: Lunch
Have lunch in Downtown! There are many options to choose from, from a simple sandwich to a full three-course lunch in a restaurant.
Afternoon 13:00 – 15:00: Downtown Manhattan Tour part 2
Hop on the bus again at Battery Park, to continue the Downtown Loop. Finish the loop and get off at the last stop in Midtown.
Afternoon 15:00 – 18:00: Midtown Manhattan Highlights
In the afternoon, continue exploring Midtown Manhattan. Visit landmarks such as Grand Central Terminal, Bryant Park and the New York Public Library, and enjoy panoramic views from SUMMIT One Vanderbilt. Walking through Midtown gives you a real sense of New York’s energy and architecture.
Evening 18:00 – 19:00: Have dinner
As you’re still in Midtown, you can have dinner near Times Square, so you’re already in the right area for your evening planning. Go to Carmine’s, for example, for fresh Italian dishes, or head to Wolfgang’s Steakhouse for one of the best steaks in New York.
Evening 19:00 – 22:00: Broadway
Spend the evening watching a Broadway musical in the Theatre District, a must-do when you visit New York!
Evening 22:00 – 23:00: Empire State Building
End the night with a visit to the Empire State Building. Seeing Manhattan illuminated after dark is an unforgettable experience.

Day 3: Fifth Avenue & Central Park
Day 3 of your 4-day trip to New York combines famous New York landmarks, luxury shopping streets and the peaceful surroundings of Central Park. It’s the perfect mix of sightseeing and relaxation.
Morning 09:00 – 10:00: Top of the Rock
After having breakfast, you can begin the day with a visit to Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center. From the observation deck, you’ll have incredible views of Central Park, the Empire State Building and the Manhattan skyline.
Morning 10:00 – 12:00: Fifth Avenue
Walk along Fifth Avenue and admire some of New York’s most famous buildings and stores. Along the way, you’ll pass landmarks including St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Rockefeller Center and the Plaza Hotel.
Afternoon 12:00 – 14:00: Central Park
After exploring Midtown, head into Central Park. Whether you decide to walk, rent a bike or simply relax on the grass, Central Park offers a peaceful escape from the busy streets of Manhattan. Head to Whole Foods to grab lunch and bring it to the park for a picnic.
Afternoon 14:00 – 16:00: Museum Visit
In the afternoon, choose between visiting the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) or the American Museum of Natural History. Both museums are among the best in New York and are worth including in your itinerary.
Afternoon 16:00 – 18:00: Resting
Exploring New York can be quite tiring, so let’s take a break now. Have a rest at your hotel so you’ll be fully recharged for the evening’s activities.
Evening 18:00 – 23:00: New York Sports Game
End the day by attending a sports game. Depending on the season, you can watch basketball, baseball, ice hockey or American football and experience the incredible atmosphere of New York sports fans. For dinner, you can pick something from the many options in the stadium.

Day 4: High Line & Departure
Your final day in New York is perfect for some last sightseeing before heading to the airport. Explore Manhattan’s west side and enjoy a final view of the city skyline.
Morning 08:00 – 09:00: Breakfast & Check-out
Start the day with a last breakfast in New York and check out of your hotel, so you’re ready to spend some final hours in the city.
Morning 09:00 – 10:00: The High Line
Walk along the High Line, an elevated park built on a former railway track. The park runs through the Meatpacking District and Chelsea and offers unique views of the city, public art installations and plenty of places to relax.
Morning 10:00 – 12:00: Hudson Yards & Edge
At the end of the High Line, you’ll arrive at Hudson Yards. Here you can visit Edge, one of New York’s observation decks, featuring spectacular panoramic views over Manhattan and beyond.
Afternoon 12:00 – 14:00: Circle Line Cruise
Before leaving the city, take a Circle Line sightseeing cruise along Manhattan. Seeing the skyline, bridges and Statue of Liberty from the water is a great way to end your New York trip.
Late Afternoon: Departure from New York
That was New York in 4 days! After collecting your luggage from the hotel, travel to the airport for your flight home. Whether you are departing from JFK, Newark or LaGuardia Airport, make sure to leave enough time for traffic and airport security.
